Financial specialists

Responsibilities

• Providing or aiding financial management for one or more in-country projects in cooperation with the  in-country operational centre.
• Having budget control (creation and review of the budget and financial plan).
• Supervising project accounting.
• Overseeing cash flow and treasury management.
• Preparing financial plans in the event of a new project or expansion of an existing one.
• Ensuring effectiveness of the internal financial control system.
• Supervising financial administration and operations.
• Recruiting, managing and developing the administrative team.

 Requirements

• Education in finance, management (business, HR), economics or administration OR in other fields if demonstrable experience in financial management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field (after graduation).
• Versatile professional experience (including accounting, budgeting, financial planning and reporting).
• Knowledge of working with software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong knowledge of English.
• Ability to work on assignment for at least 6 to 12 months.
• General requirements for all professions also apply.

Desirable

• Experience in project management (including budget control).
• Strong knowledge of financial software including databases.
• In some projects, management roles in HR and finance are combined - we are therefore prioritizing candidates who meet the requirements of both positions.
